GO 2010 Initiative – Growth and Opportunity
At the end of 2006, Universal initiated its newest growth plan - GO 2010 – that includes a sales target of $4 billion by 2010 as well as the following goals:
- improving productivity by 10%
- improving inventory turnover by 10%
- achieving 100% customer satisfaction
- increasing opportunities for all employees
Universal’s last growth initiative, “Building it Forward,” was established in 2002 for the five years ending in 2007, but the company hit its goals in 2005 -- two years early! Company leadership recently unveiled these newest goals to continue to grow Universal’s opportunity and success through 2010.
