Universal Forest Products Adds
To TechTrim™ Product Line
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., April 23, 2003 — Universal Forest Products, Inc (UFP) has expanded its TechTrim product line to include a reversible finish and a new brick mould product.
TechTrim, a unique cellular polymer trim board designed for exterior applications, now features a reversible surface and a traditional brick mould product. One side of the trim board is smooth while the other side has a textured wood grain, making this the most versatile trim board on the market today. Additionally, in response to customer requests, UFP has introduced a brick mould pattern, used around exterior entry doors.
A practical alternative to wood, TechTrim is engineered to resist rotting, cracking, peeling and warping. It is easy to handle and cuts, shapes, nails, screws, staples and sands like real wood, yet it is impervious to the elements and the damage caused by varying weather cycles. TechTrim doesn't have surface checks or end splits.
Factory primed, requiring only one latex topcoat, TechTrim resists mold, mildew, fungus and insect attacks. It can be nailed directly to structural members or applied over siding or other materials with standard woodworking tools. There is no fear of deterioration if it comes into contact with the ground, masonry or concrete.
TechTrim is available in 1" x 4", 6", 8", 10", 12" – 16' and 5/4" x 4", 6", 8", 10", 12" – 16' and 18' sizes.
TechTrim is backed by a lifetime limited warranty that covers moisture damage, rot and insect infestation. The warranty is void if a topcoat of exterior paint is not applied within 90 days of installation. See complete warranty information for details.
