There is no better method of achieving proper cement hydration, reducing discoloration and producing highly wear resistant concrete floors than wet curing. Patented UltraCure™ brand wet curing blankets outperform all other curing blankets by laying flatter on the surface and offering superior water retention, which allows the concrete to achieve optimal hydration for the entire curing period. The traditional use of wet curing concrete flooring can add up to 25% to the life of the slab.
The ultimate goal of any wet curing blanket is to maintain a 100% relative humidity condition on the slab surface for the entire curing period. Curing blankets constructed with synthetic fabrics must have water reintroduced to the surface each day or have bleeder hoses as part of the curing process, which adds time and labor. The super absorbent qualities of the UltraCure family of products are capable of absorbing, holding and wicking water to the slab surface as needed for the entire curing period. The wicking action also means the blanket will stay on the slab without extensive use of tie-downs or weights.
