About DHP®
We developed the revolutionary DHP—Double Hinge Plate especially for our customers specializing in factory-built structures. The innovative, patented DHP system consists of two precisely cut wood members connected around a center short block by a unique, double-hinge, metal plate.

Standard hinges can rotate through on a 110° angle, but DHP can rotate a full 180°, which lets it fold back on itself. The top chord of the roof truss can then rotate in the direction of the roof covering. This allows the roof system to lie down flat, with its top folded down and its eaves folded in—so that it’s below the shipping requirements for height and width. When the roof system arrives at the job site, you can simply unfold it and set it up on your structure.
Transportation and set-up of your roof trusses have never been faster or easier. With DHP, more work is done at the factory—and less at the job site.
Factory-built for better quality
With DHP, there’s no need to build peaks and eaves on-site, so you’ll have greater quality control. The DHP allows roof trusses to fold in on themselves for easier transportation, and they’re built in the factory—guaranteeing a structurally engineered truss.
Easier and quicker to set
Roof trusses with DHP do not require as much on-site construction, so they’re ready to go onto your project.
Allows for pre-sheathing and shingling
Since roof trusses with DHP are factory-built and ready to go onto your structure, you can save time by pre-sheathing and shingling your roof truss.
