Since 1955, Universal has been supplying high-quality, competitively priced lumber—treated and untreated—in a variety of domestic and imported species. For residential, industrial, and manufactured-home applications, Universal can supply the right grade at the right price.
Pressure Treated Lumber
Universal offers an extensive variety of treated lumber, such as ProWood® Micro and ProWood Micro CA , Universal’s next generation of pressure-treated lumber, ProWood® ACQ, ProWood® Borate and ProWood® CCA.
Hardwoods
We import wood species from all over the globe to offer the best hardwoods in the widest variety to our customers. Our extensive product selection includes both imported and domestic hardwoods in various thicknesses. Our core imported species offering includes Genuine Mahogany, Spanish Cedar, Ipé, Khaya, Sapele, Royal Mahogany, Brazillian Keruing, Jatobá and Cumarú.
Plywood and OSB
UFP carries a vast selection of domestic and imported plywood (including pressure-treated and kiln-dried), oriented strand board (OSB) and particle-board. Plyjoma® plywood is imported from all over the world to offer you a wide selection of superior-quality plywood products. We also offer FSC products, UV coating on Birch, Fancy Plywood, and barcode services upon request. Other popular plywood species include Okoume, Virola and Meranti.
Furring Strips
Furring strips are non-structural strips of wood attached to walls or ceilings as a base for paneling, tiles, drywall, or similar materials. Universal offers 8-foot furring strips in 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, and 2x2 sizes. They provide a solid nailing surface for any home-finishing work, as well as a consistent nailing surface for roofing installations.
