ProWood ACQ Treated Lumber

ProWood® ACQ Treated Lumber

With 24 wood-treating facilities strategically located throughout North America, Universal is your first choice for pressure-treated lumber. Our staff of dedicated wood preservation scientists use the latest advances in wood preservation technology to provide pressure-treated lumber products that stand up to wood's natural enemies, and yet are safe for humans, animals and the environment.

ProWood ACQ has been treated with alkaline copper quaternary, a waterborne wood preservative containing copper and quaternary compounds to protect against termite attack and decay. ProWood ACQ pressure-treated wood can withstand harsh weather conditions and is effective for decades.

The Treatment Process
Enclosed in a pressurized cylinder, the ProWood ACQ preservative is forced under high pressure into the cellular structure of the wood to form an insoluble complex that won’t evaporate or vaporize over time.

Safe for You and the Environment
Safe and environmentally friendly, ProWood ACQ lumber is clean, odorless, non-staining and non-irritating to humans, animals and plants.

By using ProWood ACQ treated lumber products instead of other materials like plastic or steel, you are helping to fight global warming. Less energy used means less greenhouse gas emissions, which means less global warming.
