As with other pressure-treated lumber products, the preservative used to treat ProWood Micro contains copper and quaternary compounds that protect against termite attack and decay. But with ProWood Micro, the copper is micronized to provide revolutionary new benefits: less corrosive and compatible with aluminum. Unlike other copper-based wood preservatives, the preservative in ProWood Micro products does not use solvents to dissolve the copper in solution. Instead, it uses micronizing technology (patent pending) to grind copper particles so small they can penetrate into the wood in solid form.

After one year of outdoor exposure, ProWood Micro and ProWood Micro with Microshades has an even more natural look than cedar or redwood.
Less Corrosive
ProWood Micro is less corrosive to fasteners, exhibiting corrosion rates similar to CCA-treated wood and untreated wood.
More Natural Look
ProWood Micro has a fresh-looking, more natural appearance when compared to other types of copper-based treated products.
Compatible with Aluminum
ProWood Micro can be placed in direct contact with aluminum building products.
