Product Use
Shown below is an entire roof truss constructed with the SideStep® Plate. The inset photo shows a close-up of the SideStep Plate as it looks on the truss. As you can see, the SideStep Plate provides a reliable, pre-engineered field connection between a folding kneewall and the bottom chord of a roof truss. When a roof is raised for the final set, the builder simply swings the folding kneewalls into position, and then installs the required number of fasteners.
