Deckorators to Showcase Voyage Composite Decking at IBS 2020
Deck design tool updated for 2020 deck planning season
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., January 17, 2020 - Deck builders can see and experience award-winning Deckorators® Voyage™ composite decking at the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS), Jan. 21-23 in Las Vegas.
Fresh off earning three top products honors from industry media in 2019, Deckorators Voyage composite decking will be featured in two areas of Professional Builder® Show Village 2020: on the Next Level Net Zero Home and at the ProTradeCraft Demonstration House.
On the Next Level Net Zero Home
Voyage Tundra (gray) decking will be featured on The Next Level Net Zero Home in Show Village. The Next Level Net Zero Home is one of four modular homes in the Village designed to address “issues of affordability, lifestyle, sustainability and labor.”
The Next Level Net Zero Home encompasses two modules to create a 2,400-square-foot, single-level home designed and built to achieve net-zero energy use, thus lowering its environmental impact and ongoing costs. It also offers ADA-compliant features, including 3-foot-wide doors and no-threshold showers, making it suitable for aging in place.
Tundra is one of five trend-forward color options in the Voyage lineup, which offers the beautiful look of vertical grain variegation. Voyage also provides enhanced slip resistance with 34 percent or greater surface traction than other leading brands of composite decking, per independent testing.
At the ProTradeCraft Demonstration HouseNew Voyage Khaya (true brown) will be installed with new Voyage varied-plank decking picture framing on the ProTradeCraft Demonstration House. Decking installation is scheduled to begin around 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Deckorators ALX Contemporary pre-assembled, welded aluminum deck railing in Textured Black and Deckorators solar post caps will also be added to the ProTradeCraft house. Railing installation is expected to start around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Patented Eovations™ technology makes Voyage lightweight for easy handling on the job site. The pre-assembled ALX Contemporary railing system also saves deck builders valuable time and effort on installation.
Voyage decking earned three industry media honors in 2019: a place in the Professional Remodeler Top 100 Products for 2019, a HBS Dealer Golden Hammer Award and a spot on the Pool & Spa News 2019 Top 50 Products list.
The decking was also included among the “Top 5 Break Out Products of 2019” on The Ultimate Deck Podcast, which touted new products that have “made a splash and become famous on Instagram.”
Show Village 2020 is open to registered attendees for free, self-guided tours throughout the International Builders’ Show. No tickets are required.
